Didn't mention this yesterday, but I had the mother of all bird do on the dead center of my windshield when I got to the parking lot. In this heat it had dried into a wafer that blew off as soon as I got to the freeway, but you can still see the residue.

A high speed chase resulted in a low speed commute. While I was going through the tunnel just before where the 405 and the 5 meet, some guy in a bzg yellow freightliner truck played several tunes on his musical air horn. In the tunnel it was quite loud, but also amusing.

The commute in had it's moments as well, being as it was 3 hours after midnight on July 5. In one case I saw a virtual repeat of what caused my pickup truck wreck about 5 years ago, except this was a couple hundred feet in front of me so I was able to avoid it.

The garage has been heating up as far as 99.9 degrees, and it is even still uncomfortable when I have to go to bed, so I'm seriously off the net for now, except for Thursdays.
