Tithes to the Oil barons

Gasoline went up fifteen cents a gallon in Santa Clarita while I was at work today. Literally, fuel was $1.83 when I left this morning and $1.98 when I got home.

This means that due to my 80 mile a day commute to work, I am leaving about 10% of my net income as exhaust fumes on the 405.

There are some gas stations in New York charging that much for gas already. I'll have to avoid filling up outside of NJ.
