Late Night Television Wierdness

TiVo will tune live365 radio stations. In the bedroom I have speakers hooked up to the TiVo itself instead of through the television. That way I can tune into some soothing ambient radio station, start it playing, add turn the television back off.

What occasionally happens is that the TiVo will catch some late night TV program I set it to record, which takes it off Live365 as it cannot do both at once. Then it just remains on whatever channel it was on.

I woke up in the middle of the night to some cartoon network show about a metal rock band called "Dethclock" that were supposedly something else besides, like crimefighters or some such. I can't find the show no so I have no clue what it was part of, but that was just bizarre. Wouldn't mind watching it if I could find it again.

In other TV news though, after the "adrift" episode, I'm dumping recording "Torchwood". Nothing I care to watch anymore with my now limited TV time. Used to be you could rely on BBC for quality entertainment. And this crap was a Dr. Who spinoff???

Torchwood is painful. They're working on The Sarah Jane Adventures spin-off as well. -gag-

The heavy metal cartoon is Metalocalypse. It's by one of the guys who did Home Movies.

I find it pretty hilarious all ways round, because the Dethklok bandmembers are just so nuts.

dethklok really is just a metal band and not anything else. the episode you saw probably had them be something else as a gag but in all the other shows they basically are just an obnoxiously rich metal band messing around and being jerks. Their music is so powerful the government wants to destroy them but the band is completely clueless about that.
